WeeSchool Easter Party

Today was Avery's Wee School Easter party, filled with crafts, an egg hunt, the Easter story, and of course, lots of sugar filled treats. Avery was content with her half of a cookie and 100% Apple Juice until she eyed the cupcakes. I was able to distract her with the upcoming egg hunt and she never mentioned the cupcake again...wheewhh! Here are some pics I snagged at the party.

First Day of School All Over Again

Well if the first day of school for Avery wasn't hard enough for me we have to do it all over again. Since Avery's 3rd birthday was a couple weeks ago, she has transitioned from Babies Can't Wait into the school system. She is attending Ralph Bunche which is a special needs school for our district. This school does not provide bookbags so I had to run out and find one in a week. I originally came home with a Tinker Bell  bag which I was sure would be a big hit...NOT! She straight up told me she didn't like it and wanted me to take it back! Little Diva! So off to hunt another bag. My second presentation was My Little Pony - a sure win with her love of horses. She was pleased and wanted to carry it all around the house. To be honest I am NOT a fan of character decorated clothes/bookbags but on short notice and a picky toddler I let this one slide.

Recovery

While recovering from his back surgery, Avery has been quite the little nurse. Getting Daddy water, bringing him crayons, and even broke out her toy stethoscope and "listened" to his back :o)  Most of all she loves taking short walks with him.....oh, and playing with his walking cane!

Rainy Day Walks

Avery has become more and more interested in Ivan and wants so badly to be his best bud.....Ivan is still warming up to her and her unpredictable-ness! She wants to feed him, give him treats, brush him, and recently, walk him. On this rainy day, we latched good ol' Ivan up to his leash and let the two rugrats go to town. They did laps with Daddy and his walker around the house. Avery had a blast, but Ivan was a little disappointed once he realized the walk was going to be limited to indoors.

A Toddler's Comforts

After 4 days with Gram and Grandaddy, Avery returned home after Tripp's surgery with a good ol' cold! Perfect timing right?!?! When I have a cold all I want is my bed, my pillow and maybe a good cup of hot tea. What does a 3 year old need? A good book, a favorite babydoll, a sippy cup of orange juice and an episode of Dora The Explorer.

Couldn't you just eat her up?
